The SUPAIR consortium is releasing its Transnational Strategy for Low-Carbon Transport Systems in the Adriatic-Ionian basin, which accompanies the SUPAIR Memorandum of Understanding and supports the Transnational Cooperation Network of Adriatic-Ionian Sustainable and Low-Carbon Ports.
Stressing out the key challenge to be addressed and building upon the outcomes of the SUPAIR project, the Strategy puts forward the vision and objectives to be met for moving towards carbon-neutral and zero-emission operations, supporting the development of sustainable transport systems in the Adriatic-Ionian region.
The Strategy provides a set of key guiding principles for its roll-out by the Network members and outlines the key policies at international, European and national level that is being aligned with.
Key other initiatives that can be exploited for meeting the objectives that have been set are also indicated (such as World Port Sustainability Program, EcoPorts Network, etc.).
