The Port of Thessaloniki has publicized it’s Action Plan for a Sustainable and low-carbon port, which has been produced using specific methodology developed in SUPAIR project. The application of this methodology concluded in the proposal of three (3) main Actions. These Actions are:
- Energy Management Plan
- Energy Management Database
- Truck flow management plan
The implementation of these actions will enable the Port of Thessaloniki to reduce its overall Greenhouse Gas emissions and save on energy consumption, to optimize the movement of trucks within the port benefiting the effectiveness of operations and to digitize the environmental data collection and management.
